HomeMade Pizza Co

Cooked

It's Friday. You're tired and don't feel like cooking. Curling up on the couch to watch a movie with your hunny sounds amazing and all you want is some comfort food. You're trying to get yourself out the door to meet up with friends, but still need some quality nosh to absorb that alcohol.

Some weekend nights we love to stay in and cook elaborate recipes, and other days we just don't have time and want something quick, but satisfying. TWSF recently had one of those "I don't feel like cooking" Friday nights, and decided to walk over to 14th Street to see what sort of take-out was available.

Uncooked

We debated sushi, Thai, or something from Whole Foods, until we remember HomeMade Pizza Co. TWSF makes a lot of pizza ourselves, so we were skeptical about paying $17.95 for a large uncooked pie. But we were hungry and tired, and decided to go for it anyways (Chuck gets cranky when he's hungry). Each pizza is custom made and well-packaged and equipped with heating instructions for the trip back to your oven. Still hungry? HomeMade Pizza Co. offers a variety of salads and uncooked desserts for you to take home as well.

I had a hard time getting over the price of the pizza, but when you consider the fact that all the work is done for you and you still get a fresh pizza hot out of your home oven it's worth it. Oh, and we are in DC. Everything is expensive.
